Over 100 years ago. We are still using the system tesla said was grossly inefficient. Tesla used the earth, as Nathan Stubblefield did, to send signal. Because the signal was longitudinal, there is no waste. The signal only uses enough energy to go where it is received on the earth. Of course, this same approach can be used to send signals across the solar system, galaxy, and universe. There is no time considerations in longitudinal electrostatic frequency. It travels anywhere you want it to……”now”. Electromagnetic waves take much longer to travel, and magnetic fields will mess with the signal, if trying to send signals across space.
If humanity could understand this one aspect of energy, we could free ourselves of all monetary slavery.
The unit of exchange, currency, or money, gets all its value from energy. With out energy, there is no “collateral” backing the unit of exchange, whether dollars, yen, or gold.
