In mathematics, the Ulam spiral, or the spiral of the first numbers (in other languages, it is also called the Ulam clock) is a simple method for presenting the first numbers that reveals a pattern of prime numbers that has never been fully explained. It was discovered by mathematician Stanislaw Ulam.
